I just wanted to take a minute to share with my readers, old and new, the reason that I write and share parts of my journey of my relationship with Jesus, ministry, and current events.
First of all, I want to glorify God for the lessons and experiences that he’s given me and share them with others. The reason this is first is because my overall goal is to encourage others to live out their faith in Christ actively and consistently throughout their whole life.
Second, I am a very big verbal processor and so I write to communicate statements, begin conversations, encourage, and ask questions of others about life, theology, and ministry. I would say that I strive to share things that I’ve learned, experienced, and seen and that I’m open to hearing what other’s experiences, opinions (the more informed, the better), and interests are.
Third, I write because I have conviction on issues that are about the Bible, theology, the Church today, relationships with others, culture, current ministry practices, and different events going on that should or do affect Christians.
Let me be explicitly clear that if you have a question I want to hear it. If you disagree with me, please share in a tactful way what you do and why. If you are also passionate about something that I have written on please maintain the dignity of others who are believers and non-believers in Christ.
A few different posts I’ve written that I encourage you to read to know where I stand on important theological and cultural issues also include:
